Description/Philosophy: |

Merriewood Children's Center provides child centered
programs that enhance this growth by providing a variety
of stimulating activities designed to meet the
individual needs of its children. Experiences with art,
drama, music, science, building, cooking, stories and
movement are among the many activities offered. The
special talents of the staff will ensure each child his
own place in the group. Merriewood accepts children
without regard to race, color, creed, or sex. |

ours, We have a large children's
garden that we use as an
outdoor classroom and have
a
full time science teacher/
organic farmer on staff. We
plant, raise food, play among
the crops, pick and cook the
food that we raise. We also have
a Spanish speaking
teacher who
infuses Spanish into play. |

Enrollment
Information: |
5/07/08 - We
are starting a new preschool class for children 3.9 and
up next fall. This is due to our large wait list. The
class will run from 12:15 to 2:45 with extended care
before and after. We will accept 13 children in the
class with two teachers and opportunities for parent
participation on an optional basis. The cost for the
class is $304.00/month. Also we have openings in our
Summer Programs for both pre school and school age
children. See our website.
