Position: Preschool Director
Location: Diablo Hills Country School in San Ramon, CA Job Description: Diablo Hills Country School has been operating for 36 years serving families and the community in the Danville and San Ramon area. We are a full day play-based program, and we serve toddlers, preschoolers and school age children. Our facility is denoted by fun and welcoming classrooms and a sprawling park playground. PRIMARY OBJECTIVE The Preschool Director is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the child care center through active supervision. "Active Supervision" is used here to denote our belief that the director's skills are most effective when utilized in the classrooms and playground, supervising the teachers while the teachers instruct the students. If expressed as a percentage, we encourage the director to be on all areas of the school grounds actively supervising the staff and students at least 75% of the time. ''Active supervision" also denotes the director's responsibility for implementing and supervising programs that follow the center's educational goals, policies, procedures and ensuring that Title 22 state regulations are met. In addition, the Preschool Director should develop supportive relationships with children, staff, and parents. Qualifications: • A college degree from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education or Child Development or equivalent leadership and classroom experience • At least 4 years of preschool classroom teaching experience • State course work for supervision, safety and administration of a preschool • California Child Development Program Director certificate • Displayed leadership ability and experience • Experience in building teams and community relationships, problem solver, facilitator and excellent communicator How to Apply: Candidates should contact Angie at (415) 407-2537 or [email protected].
