Position: 2's and 3's Preschool Teacher
Location: Happy Days Learning Center in Lafayette, CA

Job Description:
Full-Time Preschool Teacher: Our play-based school with lots of outdoor play space, seeks a fully qualified early childhood educator who has a genuine passion for working with preschoolers and who is nurturing, energetic, flexible, and creative. Happy Days is looking for that special individual with the ability to provide for the emotional and physical needs of early learners. If you are an educator who likes working in a collaborative environment, and have experience creating developmentally appropriate lesson plans, we would love to have you join our supportive, loving work environment. This is a full-time position working with our 2s and 3s.

At Happy Days each child is accepted and valued as a unique individual that is allowed and encouraged to develop at his or her own pace. Our school-year curriculum is centered around a "Letter of the Week", and includes storytelling, arts & crafts, fine motor activities, music & movement, outdoor play, imaginative play, pre-reading and writing skills and cooking activities. During the summer we take a journey around the world, learning about the culture, traditions and food of places around the globe. Holidays and cultural celebrations are big at Happy Days, and we also offer several field trips throughout the year.

Our large and tranquil campus with lots of outdoor play space, is conveniently located in Lafayette, with easy access to highways 24 and 680.

Preschool Teacher Job Requirements:
• Minimum of 12 Early Childhood Education units is a must
• 2+ years’ experience working with children ages 2-5
• Experience creating developmentally appropriate lesson plans
• Enthusiastic and flexible team player
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Consistent record of minimum absences and few tardies
• Excellent references
