Holy Shepherd Christian Preschool - The needs and interests of the children are the basis of the curriculum. Our program is designed to allow children to develop and unfold as the unique persons they are. The environment is carefully prepared to foster curiosity, independence and self-esteem.
Our Christian program recognizes that early childhood is the time of greatest physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual growth. Art, stories and music are a part of each day, as are small group activities and motor development. The pre-kindergarten class stresses school readiness. There are teacher-planned and supervised learning stations to give the child a broad range of science, art, creative drama, pre-math, and pre-reading on sequential levels.
Developing a good self-image is important to the child. This image grows as he or she learns new skills, develops self-control, learns to assume responsibilities for choices and works with others.
Each child is valued for him/herself. A feeling of God's love for the child, the family and all people is ongoing. Learning to say "thank you" in prayer is part of every school day.

Parent Testimonials: Holy Shepherd Christian Preschool
I have had three children — all unique is character and learning styles — go through Holy Shepherd Preschool and each has received an abundance of love, respect and individual attention to send them soaring on their academic journey. Every child is nurtured the way in which they need to blossom, and children play and learn as valued individuals. This school does not focus solely on pre-reading and math skills, but they also foster attributes such as caring, kindness, responsibility and humanity. The children are given ample time for art, play, exploration, imagination, and creativity in all areas of education and recreation. As my 4-year-old said when I picked her up this past week, "I love my school!"

The staff at Holy Shepherd are wonderful. I started both of my kids at 2 yrs and they are great at helping with the difficult transition to school for these young kids. My youngest couldn't wait to start as she wondered why she couldn't participate in the fun my oldest was having at school. When her turn to start school came she made a seamless transition to because she loved the environment. The staff are nurturing, empathetic and understanding. They are very flexible with makeups and extra time which makes it very easy for me with my busy work schedule.
We love Holy Shepherd Preschool! Educational, nurturing, caring and a great small class learning environment. The director/head teacher, Susie Koeper, has a great curriculum for getting ready for kindergarten as well as teaching the younger set. I feel as if she treats the children as if they were her own and the children love her.
