The program's goal is to instill the joy of learning and create a strong foundation for the child. Kindness, respect, responsibility, communication, independence and self-regulation are encouraged. Cognitively, students are exposed to science, math, engineering, language and literacy, social studies, art, music, dramatic play, and cooking. There is a nice balance between free choice and structured activities in a calm, safe, and positive environment. Lori believes children learn mainly through play exploration and hands-on experiences.

Parent Testimonials: Lori's Preschool
"I was thrilled when I attended my daughter's kindergarten conference. The teacher asked which preschool my daughter attended, and after I told her "Lori's Preschool," she told me how impressed she was with you, Lori. She said that my daughter and another boy in her class, who also attended your preschool, showed a genuine joy of learning, exhibited behavioral management skills, and had the best penmanship due to the many fine motor activities that you provided in your class. She then told me how all the students who came from your school had similar characteristics and were near the top of the class academically. I am so happy that my younger daughter is now attending your school. She loves going to school and asks to go every day. I love the small class size and how calm, creative, and organized you are. Thank you so much for all you do." Deana
"Once again, words can't express how truly grateful we are for everything you do! When Mia started there 2 years ago, I never thought she would have the same experience as Gianna. But in fact this time, it far exceeded my expectations. She has not only learned her letters, sounds, numbers, etc., but it is all the nonacademic things that are impressive...her patience, her confidence, her leadership, all the things you taught her just through conversation. Her experience is a true testament to the gift you have as an educator. Thank you for preparing her for a journey of lifelong learning. You have laid the strongest foundation. We will miss you. Love, Chara "(Reading Specialist and Literacy Coach for the SRVUSD)
