Mary Jane's Pre-School and Kindergarten - We believe the early years represent a most wondrous and important time in a child's life. It is a time to be enjoyed, cherished and respected, as well as a time when basic patterns and attitudes of learning and living are formed and necessary life skills are developed. We believe when a positive self-concept and respect for the individual is encouraged and nourished, the child learns to live creatively with his/her unique potential and successfully with his/her individual limitations. Also, a sense of self-worth lead to respect and caring for others in the child's ever-expanding world.
We believe anyone concerned with young children must be aware and supportive of the varied needs of the "whole" child. This, of course, means attention to the cognitive, physical, aesthetic, social and emotional development. it also includes the realization that growth and development occur in basically the same sequence in all children, though often at different rates.
