Special Programs
We work closely with the school district to provide special education if needed. A developmental screening is completed on each child minimally twice a year called Desired Results. The results are shared with the parent.

We have been accredited since 1999 by the National Association of the Education of Young Children. In 2007, our program was one of the first in the nation to be accredited in the new criteria.

The Martinez Early Childhood Center, Inc. is subsidized by the State Department of Education to serve low-income families with quality, full time child care and development. Parents must be working or in vocational training. Parents are subject to fees according to their income and number of family members. Enhancement services are available from Head Start for eligible families.
