Position: Montessori Primary Teacher
Location: Starlight Montessori Preschool, Inc in Benicia, CA

Job Description:
Starlight Montessori Preschool in beautiful Benicia has an immediate opening for a full-time teacher. Montessori certification and experience preferred but not necessary.  Candidate will be working alongside a seasoned Montessori teacher. Hours are Monday through Friday from 7:45 am to 4:30 pm. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience and can be between 40 to 50K/year. Starlight School has an excellent reputation and has been serving Benicia and surrounding communities for over 10 years. Applicant will help prepare classroom before children's arrival as well as prepare classroom for following day after children leave.

Applicant will assist with preparing materials and consult on curriculum with other teachers and Head of School.

Applicant will participate in Parent/Teacher conferences, field trips, Staff Development Days, Parent Orientation and all other whole school activities.

Qualifications:
Applicant must have at least 12 ECE units and experience working with 3-6 year olds.

Must have excellent English language skills as well as excellent communication skills with staff and parents.

Must genuinely love children, have a calm demeanor and support the Montessori philosophy.
