Position: Montessori Primary Teacher
Location: Starlight Montessori Preschool, Inc in Benicia, CA

Job Description:
We are now accepting applications for a full-time Montessori Primary Teacher ( 3-6 yr olds). Hours are Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. This could also be shared with two teachers, one for morning, one for afternoon. Applicant will be working alongside a Head teacher with no more than 15 3-6 year olds in a small, charming and authentic Montessori classroom with an excellent reputation.

Applicant will help prepare classroom before children's arrival as well as prepare classroom for following day after children leave.

Applicant will assist with preparing materials and consult on curriculum with other teachers and Head of School.

Applicant will participate in Parent/Teacher conferences, field trips, Staff Development Days, Parent Orientation and all other whole school activities.

Qualifications:
Applicant must have a Montessori Primary certificate or working towards acquiring one with at least 12 ECE units and one year experience working in a Montessori classroom.

Must have excellent English language skills as well as excellent communication skills with staff and parents.

Must genuinely love children, have a calm demeanor and support the Montessori philosophy.
