Position:  School Age Teacher - After School Program

Job Description:
LLESA Children's Center provides quality year round child development services for Lawrence Livermore and Sandia National Laboratory employee children 6 weeks through 12 years of age. The program philosophy is child-directed and play-based allowing children to learn through hands-on experiences and develop well socially and emotionally.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the direct supervision of Assistant Director, the School Age Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing the developmental program goals of the center using a team approach, supervising the activities of school age children, and maintaining strong partnerships with families.

DUTIES
Plan and implement age-appropriate developmental play-based curriculum
Supervise and provide guidance to children during daily activities
Work well within a teaching team
Build positive, professional relationships with families
Attend and participate in regular meetings, training, and conferences

SALARY AND HOURS
$15.00 to $17.00 per hour based on qualifications
30 hrs a week during school year; 40 hrs a week during summer/school breaks

Qualifications:
Minimum of 24 semester units in Early Childhood Education, AA or BA degree preferred,
Possess or willing to apply for Child Development Permit
Must have direct experience working with preschool or school age children in a child care center setting

Position:  Temporary Infant/Toddler Teacher

Job Description:
Under the direct supervision of the Infant Director, the Temporary Infant/Toddler Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing the developmental program goals of the center within a team approach, supervising the activities of infant and toddler children, and maintaining strong partnerships with families.

DUTIES
Plan and implement age-appropriate developmental play-based program
Supervise and provide guidance to children during daily activities
Work well within a teaching team
Build positive, professional relationships with families
Attend and participate in regular meetings as appropriate

SALARY $16.00 per hour

40 hrs per week through April 2016
Position not eligible for benefit package
Potential for on-going employment when opportunities are available

Qualifications:
Minimum of 12 semester units in Early Childhood Education with at least 3 additional units of infant development, AA or BA degree preferred
Valid Child Development Permit preferred
Must have direct experience working with infant and toddler children in a child care center setting – 50 days minimum
